1 Now1161 we beseech2065 you,5209 brethren,80 by5228 the3588 coming3952 of our2257 Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ,5547 and2532 by our2257 gathering together1997 unto1909 him,846
|
1 論及吾主耶穌基督臨日、我衆集會歸之、
|
|
2 That ye5209 be not3361 soon5030 shaken4531 in575 mind,3563 or3383 be troubled,2360 neither3383 by1223 spirit,4151 nor3383 by1223 word,3056 nor3383 by1223 letter1992 as5613 from1223 us,2257 as that3754 the3588 day2250 of Christ5547 is at hand.1764

2 切求兄弟、勿輙動心驚怖、或爲神感、或聽人言、或展手書、似我所遺、言基督臨日伊邇、
|
|
3 Let no3361 man5100 deceive1818 you5209 by2596 any3367 means:5158 for3754 that day shall not come, except3362 there come2064 a falling away646 first,4412 and2532 that man444 of sin266 be revealed,601 the3588 son5207 of perdition;684
|
3 悉勿爲人誘、基督未至、必有背厥信者、及當沉淪之惡人、先之而出、
|
|
4 Who opposeth480 and2532 exalteth himself5229 above1909 all3956 that is called3004 God,2316 or2228 that is worshiped;4574 so that5620 he846 as5613 God2316 sitteth2523 in1519 the3588 temple3485 of God,2316 showing584 himself1438 that3754 he is2076 God.2316

4 彼惡人妄自尊崇、謂超於凡稱上帝、世所崇拜者、而敵之、入上帝殿、居上帝位、自以爲上帝、

|
5 Remember3421 ye not,3756 that,3754 when I was5607 yet2089 with4314 you,5209 I told3004 you5213 these things?5023
|
5 我在爾中、嘗言之矣、爾不憶乎、
|
|
6 And2532 now3568 ye know1492 what withholdeth2722 that he846 might be revealed601 in1722 his1438 time.2540
|
6 爾亦知有阻之者、然屆期必出、
|
|
7 For1063 the3588 mystery3466 of iniquity458 doth already2235 work:1754 only3440 he who now letteth2722 737 will let, until2193 he be taken1096 out of1537 the way.3319
|
7 其隱慝始萌、今有所阻、後無扞格、
|
|
8 And2532 then5119 shall that Wicked459 be revealed,601 whom3739 the3588 Lord2962 shall consume355 with the3588 spirit4151 of his848 mouth,4750 and2532 shall destroy2673 with the3588 brightness2015 of his848 coming: 3952
|
8 當此時、惡人將出、主以辭氣滅之、俟厥昭臨、必淪胥以亡、
|
|
9 Even him, whose3739 coming3952 is2076 after2596 the working1753 of Satan4567 with1722 all3956 power1411 and2532 signs4592 and2532 lying5579 wonders,5059
|
9 惡者之至、藉撒但力、其妙用異蹟奇事、無非偽爲、
|
|
10 And2532 with1722 all3956 deceivableness539 of unrighteousness93 in1722 them that perish;622 because473 3739 they received1209 not3756 the3588 love26 of the3588 truth,225 that they846 might be saved.4982
|
10 詭詐百出、自棄者爲所惑、蓋彼不願受眞理致得救、
|
|
11 And2532 for this cause1223 5124 God2316 shall send3992 them846 strong delusion,1753 4106 that they846 should believe4100 a lie: 5579
|
11 爲此、上帝任其大謬、信諸誑言、
|
|
12 That2443 they all3956 might be damned2919 who believed4100 not3361 the3588 truth,225 but235 had pleasure2106 in1722 unrighteousness.93
|
12 使不信眞理、悅不義者、悉定厥罪、
|
|
13 But1161 we2249 are bound3784 to give thanks2168 always3842 to God2316 for4012 you,5216 brethren80 beloved25 of5259 the Lord,2962 because3754 God2316 hath from575 the beginning746 chosen138 you5209 to1519 salvation4991 through1722 sanctification38 of the Spirit4151 and2532 belief4102 of the truth: 225

13 兄弟乃主之所愛、我儕當爲爾恒謝上帝、自昔上帝簡爾、蒙神成聖、信諸眞理、是以得救、
|
|
14 Whereunto1519 3739 he called2564 you5209 by1223 our2257 gospel,2098 to1519 the obtaining4047 of the glory1391 of our2257 Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ.5547
|
14 亦以我福音召爾、得與吾主耶穌基督之榮、
|
|
15 Therefore,686 3767 brethren,80 stand fast,4739 and2532 hold2902 the3588 traditions3862 which3739 ye have been taught,1321 whether1535 by1223 word,3056 or1535 1223 our2257 epistle.1992
|
15 吾教爾、或以口宣、或以書遺、兄弟當堅立固守之、
|
|
16 Now1161 our2257 Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ5547 himself,846 and2532 God,2316 even2532 our2257 Father,3962 which hath loved25 us,2248 and2532 hath given1325 us everlasting166 consolation3874 and2532 good18 hope1680 through1722 grace,5485
|
16 吾主耶穌基督、及吾父上帝、曾愛我儕、恒加慰藉、賜我儕托恩望福、
|
|
17 Comfort3870 your5216 hearts,2588 and2532 establish4741 you5209 in1722 every3956 good18 word3056 and2532 work.2041

17 願主慰爾心、堅爾一切善言善行、
